Resumen

A 1.25-2.5Gbps cost-effective transceiver based on DPSK directly phase modulated VCSEL and a heterodyne receiver with a VCSEL as LO is proposed. The proposed transmitter sensitivity is -43.5dBm for 1.25Gbps and -40.5dBm for 2.5Gbps.
