Zaragoza Multicriteria Decision Making (GDMZ) is a research group from the University of Zaragoza, in addition to it besides to the Institute of Engineering Research (I3A).
The GDMZ was created in early 1996 to develop a multi-criteria methodology (including related software) that allowed the selection of actions held in the National Irrigation Plan (NRP). This study was requested by the consultant INTECSA, and was the embryo of the current research group. However, senior members of the team have been working in the field of Multicriteria Decision since the late 80s and early 90s. Currently, the group is dedicated to solve highly complex problems from the perspective of multiple criteria decision techniques. In this sense, it is a holistic approach oriented the models with interdependencies and interrelationships between actors, and environment factors.
