38th International Conference on Application and Theory of Petri Nets and Concurrency (Petri Nets 2017)
Lunes, 10 Julio, 2017
When we talk about a Petri Net, we refer to a mathematical representation that helps describe and design the behavior of a system. A system can be seen as a set of things working together as parts of a mechanism, for instance it can be a coffee machine, an assembly line or a set of medical services. Petri Nets allow us to predict a systems’ properties even before constructing it, or to design the control that enables the system’s proper use. From the 25th to 30th June the International Conference on Petri Nets took place in Zaragoza and over one hundred and twenty scientists from over twenty-two countries, all over the world, visited Zaragoza to discuss about Petri Nets, and about their properties, their past, their present and their future.
We took this opportunity to interact with a number of scientists in the conference and we asked them about their views and prospects on Petri nets and their role influence in a number of application domains.
