The Aragón Institute for Engineering Research (I3A) is seeking talented postdoctoral researchers to apply for the prestigious Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Postdoctoral Fellowships. Promising candidates will receive dedicated mentoring and assistance in preparing their applications, with I3A and the University of Zaragoza serving as the host institution.

TYPES OF POSTDOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP
There are 2 types of Postdoctoral Fellowships:
European Fellowships (EF)
For researchers moving within Europe or coming to Europe from anywhere in the world.
- Hosted in an EU Member State or Horizon Europe Associated Country
- Open to researchers of any nationality
- Duration: 12 to 24 months
- Ideal for enhancing your career in a European research environment
Global Fellowships (GF)
For researchers looking to gain experience outside Europe, with a strong reintegration plan.
- Two phases:
- Outgoing phase to a non-European country (12–24 months)
- Mandatory return phase in Europe (12 months)
- Open to researchers from or going to any country, as long as they return to Europe
- Total duration: 24 to 36 months
Additional Opportunities
- Short-term secondments: Fellows can spend time at other institutions (academic or non-academic) anywhere in the world during their fellowship (except during the GF return phase).
- Optional non-academic placement: Up to 6 months at the end of the fellowship in a non-academic organisation based in an EU Member State or Associated Country — perfect for building bridges between research and industry.

WHO CAN APPLY?
MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships are open to researchers of any nationality and any research field.
Eligibility
- PhD degree completed before the call deadline
- Up to 8 years of postdoctoral experience
Mobility Rule – MSCA PF
To be eligible for a MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship, you must comply with the mobility rule:
You cannot have lived or worked in the host country for more than 12 months in the 36 months immediately before the call deadline.
Applies to:
- European Fellowships (EF): You must not have resided or carried out your main activity (work, studies, etc.) in the country of your host institution (in the EU or associated country) for more than 12 months in the past 3 years.
- Global Fellowships (GF): The mobility rule applies to the country of the outgoing phase, i.e., the Third Country (non-EU, non-associated). You must not have resided or worked there for more than 12 months in the past 3 years
- * Exceptions: short stays, refugee status, national service, or international obligations may be excluded.
