Target audience: Policy makers (EU, national, regional and local governments), young academies, specialised media, staff working in scientific advice, R&D management, the scientific community and science journalism.
Objectives:
- Increase the participation of Spanish researchers in the European scientific advice ecosystem (SAM/GCSA, SAPEA, ALLEA, EASAC, YASAS, national networks) and their roles, reviewing their mapping and pathways for engagement.
- Connect with global structures (ISC, INGSA, UN Secretary-General’s Scientific Advisory Board, Global Young Academy).
- Share best practices in evidence quality, independence, conflict of interest management, and risk communication.
- Explore rapid-response mechanisms (crises, rapid evidence syntheses) and anticipatory advice.
- Identify specific outcomes/best practices: a roadmap, an inter-network working group, and a joint statement.
