Manufacturing Engineering and Advanced Metrology Group

The fundamental challenge of the GIFMA research group is the development, optimization and automation of innovative manufacturing and inspection techniques and systems. Along these lines, the GIFMA group's research activity focuses on the development, calibration and verification of precision measurement systems, both standard high- and low-range equipment, with and without contact, as well as developments dedicated to on-line inspection. or dedicated measurement solutions per application from the point of view of hardware, software and verification and calibration procedures. Likewise, it is also dedicated to the optimization and inspection of manufacturing processes, as well as their modeling, calibration and compensation, and optimization and development of new manufacturing procedures.
