Graphics & Imaging Lab

Graphics and Imaging Lab

The Graphics and Imaging Lab is a research group working on computer graphics and computational imaging at Universidad de Zaragoza. The group does relevant research in the areas of physically-based rendering, image processing, computational imaging, virtual reality, applied perception...

Prof. Diego Gutiérrez is the founder and head of the lab, which additionally has four faculty members, three postdocs, six PhD students and a number of master and undergrad students. We additionally collaborate with a number of institutions, both in academia and industry.

Projects

Intuitive editing of visual appearance from real-world datasets

Computer-generated imagery is now ubiquitous in our society, spanning fields such as games and movies, architecture, engineering, or virtual prototyping, while also helping create novel ones such as computational materials.
ERC

Predictive Rendering In Manufacture and Engineering

The goal of this ETN is to have the participants develop skills and protocols needed for industrial usage of Predictive Rendering (PR) technologies – image synthesis which delivers results that can be relied on to be visually accurate.
