Industry 4.0 is presented as the new revolution in the industrial and business sector and represents a new challenge for research groups with lines of work focused on digital transformation, the search for new technological solutions that facilitate management and increase business competitiveness.
To talk about Industry 4.0 is to talk about cyber-physical systems, smart products, the Internet of Things and Services, hyperconnectivity, big data, cybersecurity, cloud computing, additive manufacturing (3D printing) and robotics. Research into technologies that give rise to what is known as smart industry.
The Industry 4.0 laboratory at I3A carries out research at all levels of industrial preparation, from basic research to applied developments, related to the Industry 4.0 paradigm. With important collaborations with the Artificial Intelligence laboratory, the Industry 4.0 laboratory has lines of research that go back more than twenty years in aspects such as robotics, artificial intelligence, Internet of Things, etc.
